Vextant is an unofficial configuration tool for the Keychron Nape Pro. It is not affiliated with Keychron and is not provided or endorsed by Keychron.
Settings you can configure
Connect a Nape Pro over USB to read and edit its keymap, tap-hold actions, scroll ring, per-layer trackball orientation, DPI, polling rate, button combos, and trackball gestures.
Export and import Nape Pro settings
Vextant can export supported Nape Pro settings to a JSON file. You can import that file later, making the feature useful for settings backup and restore.
A layer export contains that layer's keymap, tap-hold actions, scroll ring assignments, and trackball orientation. A full-device export contains those settings for every exposed layer, plus the DPI table and active DPI stage, polling rate, combos, and gestures.
This is a backup of settings supported by Vextant, not a complete device image or firmware backup.
A full-device export also includes the firmware version and serial number as reference device metadata (a value is null when unavailable). They are not written back to the device as settings and are not used to match device identity during import.
Import overwrites the targeted settings. The device protocol does not provide an atomic transaction, so Vextant cannot guarantee a complete restore if the USB connection or power is interrupted.
Web app and Microsoft Store app
Vextant has two releases. The web app runs at vextant.app and connects through WebHID in desktop Chrome or Edge. The other release is the Windows Electron app distributed through the Microsoft Store. The Microsoft Store version and the Electron version are the same app, not separate releases.
